Scramble the Rubik’s Cube so that every face features mixed colors.
Pick one face to start with; the white or yellow face is commonly chosen.
Examine the four edge pieces on this face, and locate the center piece that matches the colors of the other three faces.
Rotate this center piece to the top position of the current face to align its color with the four edge pieces on this face.
Hold this face fixed, then check the remaining five faces to find two edge pieces with identical colors.
